What Is Duet Mode?
Duet mode lets you:- Assign lines to different singers
- Give each singer their own color scheme
- Position singers in different areas of the screen
- Handle overlapping parts
Opening the Duet Editor
- Open your project in the Studio
- Click Duet Editor in the header menu
Assigning Singers
In the Duet Editor, you’ll see all your lyrics with a singer selector for each line.- Click on a line
- Choose the singer: Singer 1, Singer 2, or Both
- Repeat for all lines
Quick Selection
- Click the play button next to a line to hear it
- This helps you identify who’s singing
Bulk Selection
- Use the All button to assign all lines to a specific singer
- Then adjust individual lines as needed
Number of Singers
By default, duet mode supports 2 singers. You can add more:- In the Layout panel, find Number of Singers
- Select 2, 3, or more singers
- Each singer can have unique styling
Styling Each Singer
Each singer can have their own look:- Go to the Text Style panel
- Select the singer from the dropdown
- Customize:
- Font and size
- Active/inactive colors
- Outline and effects
When Singers Overlap
When lines overlap (both singers singing at the same time):- Show Both — Each singer displays at their own position
- Merge to All — Overlapping lines use a combined “All Singers” style
Singer Positions
In Duet layout, singers appear in different screen positions:- Singer 1 — Left or top area
- Singer 2 — Right or bottom area
- Horizontal — Side by side
- Vertical — Stacked top and bottom
Example: Classic Duet
For a typical male/female duet:- Set Singer 1 to blue tones
- Set Singer 2 to pink tones
- Use horizontal positioning
- Assign verses to respective singers
- Set choruses to “Both”
Saving and Previewing
Changes save automatically. Use the video preview to:- Verify correct singer assignments
- Check that colors are distinguishable
- Confirm overlapping parts look right
Going Back to Single Mode
To disable duet mode:- Go to Layout panel
- Change Layout Type to Karaoke, Scrolling, or Single
