Opening Text Style Settings

  1. Open your project in the Studio
  2. Click the Text Style panel

Choosing a Font

  1. Click on the font name to open the font picker
  2. Browse popular fonts or search for a specific one
  3. Click a font to apply it
The font picker shows:
  • Popular — Commonly used fonts
  • All Fonts — Browse the complete font library
  • Search — Find fonts by name

Importing Your Own Font

You can import your own font in Youka Online and use it in the Studio preview and downloaded videos.
  1. Open your project in the Studio and click Text Style
  2. Click the font name to open the font picker
  3. Under My Fonts, click Add Font
  4. Choose Font files, or choose Choose an installed font when your browser offers that option
  5. Select the related TTF, OTF, WOFF, or WOFF2 files for the font family
  6. Confirm that you have the rights to upload and use the font, then click Import
  7. Select the imported font under My Fonts
You can import up to 20 matching files at once, with a maximum size of 25 MB per file. If the font has separate regular, bold, or italic files, select them together so those styles are available in Youka.
Access to fonts installed on your computer depends on browser support. If Choose an installed font is not shown, upload the font files instead.

Adjusting Font Size

Use the font size slider to make your lyrics larger or smaller. Preview the change in real-time.

Setting Colors

Customize colors for different states:

Active Line

The line currently being sung:
  • Fill Color — Main text color
  • Outline Color — Border around text

Inactive Line

Lines that have already been sung or are coming up:
  • Fill Color — Main text color
  • Outline Color — Border around text

Adding Outline

Outlines make text readable on any background:
  1. Enable Outline toggle
  2. Choose the outline color
  3. Adjust Outline Thickness
Thicker outlines work better on busy backgrounds.

Adding Shadow

Shadows add depth and improve readability:
  1. Enable Shadow toggle
  2. Choose the shadow color
  3. Adjust blur and offset as needed

Text Effects

Choose how the karaoke highlighting works:
  • Karaoke — Classic word-by-word highlighting as the song plays
  • Highlight — The active line is highlighted
  • None — No special highlighting

Text Case

Transform how your lyrics appear:
  • As Written — Keep original capitalization
  • UPPERCASE — All capital letters
  • lowercase — All lowercase letters
  • Capitalize Each Word — First letter of each word capitalized

Text Direction

For right-to-left languages (Arabic, Hebrew, etc.):
  • Auto — Automatically detect from lyrics language
  • LTR — Force left-to-right
  • RTL — Force right-to-left

Duet Mode Styling

When using Duet mode, each singer can have their own style:
  1. Select the singer in the dropdown
  2. Customize their unique colors and font
  3. Repeat for other singers
