Why downloads take time
- Youka renders lyrics into the final video.
- The video is re-encoded so the export works reliably across devices and players.
- Higher resolutions and quality presets increase processing time significantly.
Quick fixes
Lower the export quality
OpenSettings > Export Settings and choose a faster preset:
Fastfor the shortest export time.Balancedfor a middle ground between speed and quality.Qualityonly when you need the best final output.720pinstead of1080pif you need a result quickly.
Enable hardware acceleration
OpenSettings > Advanced and enable Hardware Encoding.
- This lets Youka use your GPU instead of relying only on CPU encoding.
- Exports are usually much faster on systems with supported graphics hardware.
Free up system resources
- Close other heavy apps before exporting.
- Avoid running multiple exports at the same time.
- Make sure you have enough free disk space for temporary render files.
Estimated export times
| Resolution | Fast | Balanced | Quality |
|---|---|---|---|
| 720p | 1-2 min | 2-4 min | 5-10 min |
| 1080p | 2-4 min | 5-10 min | 15-30 min |
| 4K | 5-10 min | 15-30 min | 45+ min |
For urgent exports
- Use the
Previewexport option when you only need a quick draft for testing. - Switch back to your preferred quality preset for the final export.
If exports are still slow
- Try
Fastat720pfirst to confirm the issue is not project-specific. - Enable hardware encoding if it is currently off.
- Restart the app after changing export settings.
- If the slowdown started recently, compare against another project to rule out a problematic source file.
