If your karaoke downloads take longer than expected, the bottleneck is usually export quality, hardware acceleration, or system load. Start with the faster export settings first, then work through the system checks below if exports are still slow.

Why downloads take time

  • Youka renders lyrics into the final video.
  • The video is re-encoded so the export works reliably across devices and players.
  • Higher resolutions and quality presets increase processing time significantly.

Quick fixes

Lower the export quality

Open Settings > Export Settings and choose a faster preset:
  • Fast for the shortest export time.
  • Balanced for a middle ground between speed and quality.
  • Quality only when you need the best final output.
  • 720p instead of 1080p if you need a result quickly.

Enable hardware acceleration

Open Settings > Advanced and enable Hardware Encoding.
  • This lets Youka use your GPU instead of relying only on CPU encoding.
  • Exports are usually much faster on systems with supported graphics hardware.

Free up system resources

  • Close other heavy apps before exporting.
  • Avoid running multiple exports at the same time.
  • Make sure you have enough free disk space for temporary render files.

Estimated export times

720p1-2 min2-4 min5-10 min
1080p2-4 min5-10 min15-30 min
4K5-10 min15-30 min45+ min
Actual times depend on song length, subtitle complexity, and your machine.

For urgent exports

  • Use the Preview export option when you only need a quick draft for testing.
  • Switch back to your preferred quality preset for the final export.

If exports are still slow

  • Try Fast at 720p first to confirm the issue is not project-specific.
  • Enable hardware encoding if it is currently off.
  • Restart the app after changing export settings.
  • If the slowdown started recently, compare against another project to rule out a problematic source file.
