When lyrics don’t match the music, you have three options: re-sync with AI, make small manual adjustments, or move whole lines to new positions.

Re-sync with AI

Use this for major sync issues or when the lyrics themselves are wrong.
1

Open the lyrics editor

Go to Edit > Edit Lyrics.
2

Confirm the lyrics are correct

Fix any typos or missing words before re-syncing.
3

Pick a sync model

Select a model like Audioshake Alignment from the dropdown.
4

Save

Click Save to kick off a new sync job.

Manual sync adjustments

Use this when timing is only slightly off.
1

Open Manual Sync

Go to Edit > Manual Sync.
2

Select the misaligned word or line

Click to highlight it.
3

Drag to fix

Drag the selection on the timeline, using the waveform as a guide.

Move lines to a new position

Use this when whole lines need to move elsewhere in the song.
1

Select the lines

In Manual Sync, select the lines you want to move.
2

Cut

Press Ctrl+X (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+X (Mac).
3

Seek to the new position

Click the new position on the timeline, or use the arrow keys.
4

Paste

Press Ctrl+V or Cmd+V to paste at the playhead.

Nudge timing

To shift selected lines a few milliseconds earlier or later:
  • Select the lines in Manual Sync
  • Press Shift + ← to shift earlier
  • Press Shift + → to shift later

Prevention tips

  • Use high-quality audio sources
  • Provide accurate lyrics when importing
  • Include every repeated chorus in the lyrics
  • Try a different sync model if the default doesn’t work well

Still stuck?

If nothing resolves the drift:
  • Try a different sync model in Edit > Edit Lyrics
  • Confirm your lyrics match exactly what’s being sung
  • Use Edit > Manual Sync for precise, word-by-word adjustments
