Steps to add a background box

Open the project
Open the karaoke project you want to edit.

Open Subtitle Settings
Go to Style > Subtitle Settings.

Enable the background box
Turn on the Background Box toggle.

Customize the look
Adjust color, opacity, and padding to match your project.
Box settings
- Color — the fill color of the box (default black)
- Opacity — transparency from 0% (invisible) to 100% (solid)
- Padding — space between the text and the box edge
Tips for readability
- 60–80% opacity gives a modern, semi-transparent look
- 8–12px of padding gives the text breathing room
- Match the box color to your video’s color palette for a cohesive feel
