Overlays are optional elements that appear on top of your karaoke video. Use them to give singers timing cues, identify the song, mark instrumental breaks, and brand your content.

Opening the Overlays panel

In the Studio, expand the Overlays panel in the sidebar. Toggle each overlay on or off independently.

Title card

A title card displays the song title and artist name at the very start of the video, before the lyrics begin. It gives singers a moment to prepare and lets the audience know what song is playing.

Enabling the title card

1

Find Title Card

In the Overlays panel, locate the Title Card section.
2

Toggle on

Click the toggle to enable it.
3

Set duration

Enter how many seconds the title card stays on screen before lyrics appear. The default is 3 seconds.
4

Style the title and artist text

Adjust the font size, text color, and outline color separately for the title and the artist name.
The title card shows the song title above the artist name, centered on screen. To change the title or artist text, update your project details via the Studio header menu → Edit Project.
Match the title card style to your overall karaoke theme. Use the same font and color palette you set in the Text Style panel.

Lead-in dots

Lead-in dots are small countdown indicators that appear before each line of lyrics when there is a gap in singing. They count down beat by beat, helping singers know exactly when to start. Example: ● ● ● — three dots disappear one by one, then the first word appears.

Enabling lead-in

1

Find Lead-In

In the Overlays panel, locate the Lead-In section.
2

Toggle on

Click the toggle to enable it.
3

Configure settings

Adjust the number of beats, minimum gap, color, and size.

Lead-in settings

SettingDescription
Number of beatsHow many dots appear in the countdown. 3–4 is standard.
Min gapThe minimum silence (in seconds) between lines before a lead-in is shown. Prevents clutter between rapid lines.
ColorThe color of the countdown dots. Match your text color or use a contrasting accent.
Width / HeightThe size of each dot.
Horizontal / Vertical offsetFine-tune the position of the dots on screen.
Lead-in dots appear before the first line of the song and before any line that follows a gap longer than the Min gap value. They do not appear between lines that follow each other quickly.

Progress bar

The progress bar appears during instrumental breaks to show singers where they are in the song and when the next line is approaching. It prevents that moment of uncertainty during a long guitar solo or bridge. Enable Progress Bar in the Overlays panel. The bar activates automatically during sections where no lyrics are displaying.

Logo watermark

A logo watermark adds your brand image to every frame of the exported video. Use it to identify your content on social media or protect your work.
1

Find Logo Watermark

In the Overlays panel, locate the Logo Watermark section.
2

Toggle on

Click the toggle to enable the watermark.
3

Upload your logo

Click Upload Logo and select an image file. PNG with a transparent background is recommended.
4

Set position

Choose a corner: Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, or Bottom Right.
5

Adjust size and opacity

Use the Scale slider to resize the logo and the Opacity slider to make it more or less transparent.
Supported formats: PNG (recommended), JPG, WebP.

Logo tips

  • Use a PNG with a transparent background so the logo blends naturally over any background.
  • Keep the logo small enough that it does not compete with the lyrics for attention.
  • Position the logo in a corner away from where lyrics most commonly appear.
  • A semi-transparent logo (60–80% opacity) is less intrusive while still clearly visible.
Previously uploaded logos are saved in your gallery. Click My Gallery in the logo section to select a logo you have used before, without re-uploading.

Intro and outro videos

You can also attach short video clips that play before the karaoke starts (Intro) and after it ends (Outro). Find these options in the Overlays panel under Branding. Toggle either on, upload your video file, and choose a transition effect (Fade, Crossfade, Slide, Zoom, or Blur). Supported video formats: MP4, WebM, MOV.
Keep intro videos to 3–5 seconds and outro videos to 5–10 seconds. Use them to include your logo, a “Get Ready to Sing” message, or social media handles.
