A single flat color fills the entire background.Select Color
In the Background panel, click Color.
Pick a color
Click the color swatch to open the color picker. Choose your color or enter a hex value.
Dark solid colors — deep blues, blacks, and dark purples — give the highest contrast with white or bright lyrics text.
A smooth blend between two or more colors.Select Gradient
In the Background panel, click Gradient.
Set color stops
Click each color stop on the gradient bar to change its color.
Add more colors (optional)
Click Add color to insert an additional stop.
Adjust angle
Drag the angle control to change the direction of the gradient.
Two-color gradients work best for readability. Use a dark tone on the side where lyrics sit most often.
A still image fills the background.Select Image
In the Background panel, click Image.
Upload or choose from gallery
Click Upload to add a new image, or click Gallery to select one you have uploaded before.
Adjust blur and dim
Use the Blur slider to soften the image and the Dim slider to darken it for better lyric contrast.
Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP.Apply a moderate blur and dim to any busy or high-detail image so lyrics remain easy to read.
A looping video plays in the background.Select Video
In the Background panel, click Video.
Choose a source
Select Original to use the video footage from your uploaded file, or click Upload to add a separate background video.
Adjust blur and dim
Use the Blur and Dim sliders to reduce visual complexity and improve lyric legibility.
Videos with subtle, slow movement — nature scenes, ambient footage, abstract loops — work best as backgrounds. Fast-moving or high-contrast footage can distract from the lyrics.
