Youka Live does not receive audio

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording.
  2. Enable Youka Live.
  3. Quit and reopen Youka Live if macOS asks you to restart it.
  4. Play audio in another app and turn on Live again.
Also confirm that the intended speakers or headphones are selected in macOS Sound settings. Youka Live follows the current system output automatically.

The separated audio is delayed

Some delay is expected. Youka Live must collect enough audio for separation and a stable playback buffer before it can output separated stems. The current separation profile adds approximately three seconds. Youka Live chooses the separation profile automatically. It is not intended for zero-latency stage monitoring.

Live turns off while preparing or playing

Before changing your system audio, Youka Live measures current separation performance using live audio windows. It continues checking while Live is active. If the Mac cannot keep up reliably, Youka Live turns Live off and restores normal system audio instead of allowing a growing delay or repeated interruptions. Close other demanding apps and select Try Again. If the same message returns under a normal workload, include your Mac model and the exact message when contacting support.

The activation code expired

Activation codes last ten minutes. Return to the Youka Live menu and select Try Again to generate a new code. Approve a Mac only when the code in your browser exactly matches the code shown by the app.

The browser says the device limit was reached

A perpetual license supports two active Macs. Open Manage Youka Live license, deactivate a Mac you no longer use, and then approve the new activation request.

A purchase or model upgrade is not appearing

Keep Youka Live connected to the internet, open its menu, and select Refresh or Refresh License. Make sure you purchased with the same Youka account used to approve the Mac. Stripe may briefly show the payment as processing. Wait a moment and refresh again. You do not need to select the upgraded model manually; Youka Live loads the newest model generation included with the account.

The app says “License unavailable”

  • Confirm that the Mac can reach online.youka.io.
  • Select Try Again.
  • If this is the first activation, generate a new code and complete browser approval.
  • If the app was reinstalled, sign in with the account that owns the license and activate the Mac again.
A previously synchronized perpetual license remains usable offline. Trial time also works offline and decreases only while separation is Live. At zero, Youka Live turns Live off and restores normal system audio. Reinstalling the app does not reset the account’s shared 30-minute allowance.

Optional usage and diagnostics

After your first successful Live session, Youka Live asks whether you want to share usage and diagnostic data. Sharing is off until you choose Share. You can change this preference at any time in Settings. While sharing is enabled, the direct-download macOS app reports crashes, hangs, unexpected license failures, terminal Live Separation errors, and successful audio-route recovery to Youka through Sentry. Reports include the app release, macOS and processor version, Live state transitions, model and numeric audio configuration, and latency and inference measurements. Selected performance traces are sampled. Reports do not include captured audio, separated stems, audio-device names, email addresses, account, license, or hardware-device identifiers, license credentials, activation codes, request bodies, or authorization headers. Disabling sharing stops future reports. For a repeated problem, include the approximate time, Youka Live version, and the action you took immediately before it happened so support can locate the matching diagnostic event if sharing was enabled.

The menu-bar icon is missing

Open Youka Live from the Applications folder. If the icon still does not appear, open Activity Monitor, quit any existing Youka Live process, and launch the app again. If the problem continues, contact support@youka.io and include your macOS version, Youka Live version, current system output device, and the exact error shown in the menu.
