Offline playback is opt-in in Youka Desktop. While connected, you can save one finished video, prepare the eligible videos in your Library, or automatically save future eligible Karaokes on that computer.

Make one video available offline

Open Library while online

Find the finished karaoke video you want to keep on this computer.

Choose Make available offline

Open the item’s actions and select Make available offline.

Wait for the download

Keep Desktop open until the item shows that it is available offline.

Play without internet

When offline, open Youka Desktop and play the saved video from Library.

Prepare your Library

  1. Open Library while online.
  2. Select Manage → Make available offline.
  3. Review the video count and required storage, then confirm.
  4. Keep Desktop open until the downloads finish.
Youka keeps a 1 GB safety reserve and never removes existing or partial files automatically.

Save future Karaokes automatically

Open Manage → Settings and enable Keep new Karaokes available offline. New eligible Karaokes will be prepared on this device when they appear in your Library. You can also change the download location from the same Settings dialog. New installations use Movies/Youka on macOS and Videos/Youka on Windows and Linux. An existing Videos/Youka Library remains in its current location.

What still requires internet

An internet connection is required to sign in, create karaoke, run AI processing, edit projects, sync cloud Library changes, and download another video for offline use. Offline storage applies to the finished video, not the editable project, source media, stems, or Studio settings. Saved playlist definitions still require a connection. Make the videos available offline first, then use the Queue during the offline session.
