# Add Your Own Lyrics

> Paste your lyrics for more accurate karaoke timing

Providing your own lyrics gives the AI better accuracy when syncing words to the music.

## When to Provide Lyrics

Use this option when:

* You have the song's lyrics available
* You want the most accurate timing
* The song has complex or unclear vocals
* The song is in a less common language

## How to Add Your Lyrics

1. On the Create Karaoke page, select **I have lyrics**
2. Paste your lyrics into the text area
3. Use **Search** to find lyrics online, or **Paste** from your clipboard
4. Select the correct language for your lyrics
5. Click **Create Karaoke**

## Formatting Tips

* Put each line of lyrics on a new line
* Remove any section headers like "\[Chorus]" or "\[Verse 1]" unless you want them to appear
* Include background vocals in parentheses if you want them shown
* Check for typos — the AI will sync exactly what you provide

## What Happens During Syncing

The AI analyzes your audio and matches each word in your lyrics to the exact moment it's sung. This process:

* Takes about 1-2 minutes
* Works best with correct lyrics
* Can be fine-tuned later with the [Manual Sync](/en/web/manual-sync) tool

## Lyrics Language

Selecting the correct language helps the AI:

* Understand pronunciation patterns
* Handle special characters correctly
* Improve sync accuracy
