# Layout Options

> Choose how lyrics appear on screen with different layout modes

Control how your lyrics are displayed with different layout modes and positioning options.

## Opening Layout Settings

1. Open your project in the Studio
2. Click the **Layout** panel

## Layout Types

Choose from five layout modes:

### Karaoke (Default)

The classic karaoke style:

* Shows multiple lines at once
* Active line is highlighted
* Lines scroll as the song progresses

Best for: Traditional karaoke experience

### Scrolling

Lyrics scroll smoothly through the screen:

* Continuous vertical scroll
* Current position highlighted
* Great for long lyric sections

Best for: Lyric videos, songs with dense lyrics

### Single

One line at a time:

* Only the current line is visible
* Clean, focused display
* Good for small screens

Best for: Minimalist look, mobile viewing

### Duet

Designed for songs with multiple singers:

* Each singer has their own position
* Different colors per singer
* Supports overlapping parts

Best for: Duets, songs with call-and-response

### Chords

Built for musicians who want to study harmony while listening:

* Show chords in inline or grid view
* Switch notation style

## Lines Visible

For Karaoke and Scrolling layouts, choose how many lines to show:

* **2 Lines** — Compact view
* **4 Lines** — Standard view
* **More lines** — See more context

## Vertical Position

Position your lyrics on screen:

* **Top** — Lyrics near the top
* **Center** — Lyrics in the middle
* **Bottom** — Lyrics at the bottom (most common)

## Anticipation Buffer

Control how early upcoming lines appear:

* Increase to show lines earlier
* Decrease for a tighter timing

This helps singers prepare for upcoming lyrics.

## Container Height

Adjust the area where lyrics appear:

* Larger values give lyrics more room
* Smaller values create a more compact display

## Padding

Add space around the edges of the lyrics area:

* Keeps lyrics away from screen edges
* Useful for TVs that crop the edges

## When Singers Overlap (Duet)

When two singers sing at the same time:

* **Show Both** — Each singer stays at their position
* **Merge to All** — Overlapping lines use the "All Singers" style
