# Join a Karaoke Session

> Join a friend's karaoke session as a guest

Been invited to a karaoke session? Join in seconds from your phone or tablet.

## What You'll Achieve

Join a karaoke session to:

* See what's currently playing
* Add songs to the queue
* Control playback
* Participate in the karaoke fun

## How to Join

### Option 1: Scan the QR Code

1. Open your phone's camera
2. Point it at the QR code shown on the host's screen
3. Tap the link that appears
4. Enter your nickname
5. Tap **Join Session**

### Option 2: Enter the Session Code

1. On your phone, go to the karaoke join page
2. Enter the 6-digit session code
3. Enter your nickname
4. Tap **Join Session**

## What You Can Do

Once connected, you can:

* **Browse songs** — See all available karaokes
* **Add to queue** — Queue songs for everyone
* **View queue** — See upcoming songs
* **Control playback** — Play, pause, skip, seek

## Session Rules

* The host controls whether remote access is enabled
* All connected guests can add songs and control playback
* Everyone sees the same queue
* When the host disables remote access, all guests are disconnected

## Connection Issues

If you get disconnected:

1. Check your internet connection
2. Try scanning the QR code again
3. Enter the session code manually
4. Make sure the host still has remote access enabled

## Leaving a Session

Simply close your browser tab or navigate away. You can rejoin anytime using the same code (while the session is active).
