# Edit the Lyrics

> Update lyrics and re-sync them with your karaoke track

Fix typos, correct missing words, or switch to a different sync model from the lyrics editor.

## Steps to edit and re-sync

    Open the karaoke project you want to edit from the **Library** tab.

  <Step title="Open the lyrics editor">
    Go to **Edit > Edit Lyrics**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Make your edits">
    Fix typos, add missing lines, or remove unwanted text.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick a sync model">
    Choose a model from the dropdown (see the options below).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save and sync">
    Click **Save** to start a new sync job. Watch progress in the **Jobs** tab.
  </Step>

## Sync models

Alignment models use the lyrics you provide and match them to the audio. Transcription models detect lyrics from the audio itself.

| Model                    | Type          | Use when                                                       |
| ------------------------ | ------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Audioshake Alignment     | Alignment     | You have accurate lyrics and want the default balanced quality |
| MusicAI Alignment        | Alignment     | Audioshake Alignment gives poor timing on this song            |
| Audioshake Transcription | Transcription | You don't have lyrics and the song is in English               |
| MusicAI Transcription    | Transcription | You don't have lyrics and the song is non-English              |

## Tips for better results

* Keep spelling and punctuation accurate
* Include every repeated chorus in the lyrics text
* Add a line break at each natural breath or pause
* Use the preview to verify timing before exporting
